Lovely wedding weekend

This weekend our nephew, Gray, got married to his beautiful, spunky, fun, bride, Sasha.  We traveled to Front Royal, Virginia, for the wedding.  Coty was the officiant, Thomas the best man, and Clara, the flower girl.  So, it was really a family affair for us.

We stayed at a nice rental house just near the border of Shenandoah National Park.  The house was a peaceful place to enjoy some family time in the midst of a busy wedding weekend.

I loved ...

-seeing Clara take her duties as flower girl very seriously.  She was, of course, adorable.

-hearing Coty's wedding sermon

-visiting with extended family members we don't see often

-meeting Sasha's family, especially her warm, vivacious mother

-reading books and playing games with Clara in the early morning, while Coty went for a run and Erin and Luke slept in.  Gramma time ... yes!

How about a few pictures:

Blueberry pancake breakfast on the deck

Fun with a caterpillar, which upon close observation and a little help from Google,
we identified as a giant leopard moth caterpillar

A kiss for the bride during pre-wedding photos

Rain forced the ceremony indoors
but Clara wasn't phased and did her job beautifully!

The fathers and daughters watching the Father/Daughter dance

and Coty and Clara watching Sasha dance with her brother.

It was too dark for me to get any good pictures, but Clara danced almost the whole time!  When asked what was her favorite part of being the flower girl, she replied, "The dancing!"
